Dr. Houten is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine. He explores pathophysiological mechanisms in disorders of fatty acid oxidation and lysine degradation with the ultimate aim to develop new therapies.
