Precsion Medicine Seminar Series – A lecture with: Iwijn De Vlaminck, PhD

@ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
West Wedge Room 2798 and Zoom

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Iwijn De Vlaminck, Associate Professor in the Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University, as our May PMSS speaker. Dr. De Vlaminck is internationally recognized for pioneering high‑throughput measurement technologies that advance precision medicine, with a particular focus on infectious, immune‑mediated, and microbiome‑associated diseases. His interdisciplinary research integrates engineering, biophysics, computational biology, and genomics to develop transformative tools such as liquid biopsy assays for infectious and immune‑related disease, highly sensitive tests for transplant rejection now widely used in clinical practice, and cutting‑edge spatial sequencing methods to map microbial communities and host–microbe interactions in complex tissues.
