Biography Dr. Sharifi’s research focuses on leveraging liquid biopsies including circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA to detect, understand and overcome mechanisms of targeted therapy resistance in breast and prostate cancer.

Skop, Ph.D, Ahna

Biography Dr. Skop’s research explores the molecular mechanisms of cell division, with a special focus on the midbody and midbody remnants (MBRs)—unique, RNA-rich structures produced during mitosis.

Steiner, MD, Robert

Biography Clinical Professor in the Division of Genetics and Metabolism Dr. Steiner is a physician-scientist interested in metabolic bone diseases, inherited metabolic diseases, genetic testing, and newborn screening. He is also a translational researcher with specific interests in PKU, neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (NCL), Smith Lemli Opitz Syndrome, and cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis.
