Highlights from the 4th Annual Advancing Precision Medicine Symposium
By Victoria Rubinetti
On October 7, 2025, over 150 researchers, clinicians, and students gathered for the 4th Annual Advancing Precision Medicine Symposium in the UW Health Sciences Learning Center. This full-day event showcased cutting-edge research, innovative diagnostics, and collaborative efforts driving the future of personalized healthcare.
The symposium kicked off with opening remarks from its co-chairs, Drs. April Hall and Gaelen Hess, and Director of the Center for Precision Medicine, Dr. Muhammed Murtaza. Dr. Janice Chen followed with a compelling keynote about groundbreaking insights into CRISPR diagnostics.
Attendees had the opportunity to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits while engaging in sessions led by Center for Precision Medicine faculty and other colleagues from across campus.
Throughout the day, lab members presented posters highlighting current research, fostering dialogue and collaboration among attendees.
We appreciate everyone who joined us for this year. We look forward to seeing you at the next Symposium as we continue to push the frontiers of precision medicine!
