Biography
Dr. Muhammed Murtaza is a Professor in the Department of Surgery and the Director of the Center for Precision Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dr. Murtaza’s research focuses on enhancing access to advanced cancer diagnostic technologies, particularly liquid biopsies, for patients in low-income settings. His lab, the Murtaza Lab, is dedicated to advancing research on circulating and cell-free tumor DNA and RNA. More specifically how it can provide insights Into the tumor’s genome thus providing improvements to cancer care.
