Biography
Dr. Muhammed Murtaza is a Professor in the Department of Surgery and the Director of the Center for Precision Medicine at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Dr. Murtaza’s research focuses on enhancing access to advanced cancer diagnostic technologies, particularly liquid biopsies, for patients in low-income settings. His lab, the Murtaza Lab, is dedicated to advancing research on circulating and cell-free tumor DNA and RNA. More specifically how it can provide insights Into the tumor’s genome thus providing improvements to cancer care.
